Guest guest
Lena, thank you for your post...sometimes those of us who have eaten a certain way for a while tend to get a little myopic in our POVs. I personally have a hard time with recipe sharing because I tend to just go into the kitchen...see what I have and to from there. To me food preparation is an art form...I don't mean that I make it look " fancy-schmancy " in fact my meals tend to look more " plain jane. " In my " world " the art is in the blending of tastes, textures and aromas. I will tell you that IMHO as far as recipes go some of the older " raw " books have better recipes because they are made of more simple ingredients and rely on fewer gadgets. That to me it the truest essence of raw when you capture the simplicity. I recommend " Love Your Body " by Vicktoras Kulvinksis (sp?) and " Light Eating for Survival " by Marcia Acciardo (sp?) These books can be found at reasonable prices used on half.com and Amazon.com. I have been using these books for years to inspire me...I first went raw in the late 70s and regret going back to SAD. I know that there are those who will insist the new wave of raw books are superior but from what I have read I disagree but we all have our own opinions on these things. I hope you enjoy the journey...
