Guest guest
1. My new water distiller which is NSF certified and Calif Cetified and comes with a clear hard odorless plastic container to pour from. I called the company and they said it was propolyne and FDA approved . What is that and is it safe . The triangle under the handle had no number in it and only a PO or C outside the triangle . It was not listed in my 2 water books . Does anyone have a water distiller with numbers under the handle of the clear water resovoir and if so, can you explain this . I dont know whether to use it or not . it is made by Sears , but looks identical to Waterwise and Westbends Model . Its the the model with the clear plastic pitcher to the right of the stainless steel boiler(left) . 2 . I keep going back and forth about which mixer to buy for raw foods . The vita mix , if so , which one ? And , does it heat the food too high to be considered raw ? or , the K-tech HP3 Champ . I would love to hear your ideas . Thank You ! Guest guest
Vitamix is strong but not good with small quantities of drier mixes (like pate) unless you also get the dry jug. It will heat the food if you blend for a long time, which there's no need to do unless you actually want to cook in it! Oh, and it's a bit dodgy for ice cream (overheats) - better use a juicer for that. Champ: I've heard it's too strong for its build quality and at present tends to break after a while. Vitamix TNC gets my vote. Sara xx > 2 . I keep going back and forth about which mixer to buy for raw > foods . The vita mix , if so , which one ? Guest guest
I had a Vitamix years ago and unloaded it at a yard sale. I didn't care for it at all. I've had my Champion for many years with no problem. If something was to break or get lost Champion does have replacement parts. Just my opinion :-) Leslie
