Guest guest
Hi, all. Just thought I would let you know that I, too, have a pituitary tumor (microadenoma) and stopped getting my menstrual cycles for two years! My prolactin was high.(I think this happened because I was eating SUCH a toxic diet and had lots of toxic emotions)..I went on medication(dostinex-there's another about dostinex) and I finally got my monthly cycles back. When I found out I had the tumor, I decided to go raw. I had been toying with it for a long time, but this was the motivation I needed. I have been 85-100% raw since my diagnosis(November 24th) and I have never felt better. My goal is to heal myself with raw foods so I can go off the medication. I believe I can do this. I find I do better on more salads and green blended drinks and a little less fruit(I might have 3 or 4 pieces a day) because my teeth start to hurt when I eat too much fruit and I have sugar crash type feelings. The only exception to this is when I am out in the sun a lot, I feel like eating more fruit. Anyway, in many ways I consider my microadenoma a blessing because it got me eating raw, exercising more, connecting spiritually again!! Good luck to you!
