I am a marathon runner (26.2 miles) and have gone 100% raw recently after many

months as vegan and partially raw. I am used to carbing up with pasta and now

need an alternative. I am not adverse to sprouted beans and grains if edible.

Can anyone give me some advice? I do feel great eating raw, but not as strong as

before. I don't want this to be an excuse to start eating cooked food again.

hi Jann, grains are a great way to go. Oat groats is one of my favorites. soak

over night and it's ready to go in the morning with a split second whip in the

blender. with almond milk or seseme milk and maple syrup. it's yummy. experiment

with different types of grains for breakfast. mung bean sprouts, lentils and

others are a great way to carb up as well. it also gives you the protein you

need in it's broken down form so your body wont have to work for it. Soaked

and dehydrated nuts and seeds are also a great way to go. Good luck. I also was

just training for a marathon!!
