Holiday stomach ache

Hello to all,

I am a newcomer and have been lurking for about a month while

learning about this new lifestyle. I have been transitioning about a

month now and doing well. I don't seem to be able to eat enough

fruit though to ward off the carb cravings so usually I eat some

sort of grain 1x/day and a couple of eggs 1x/day. The greens do

satisfy most of the time and I think I'm doing well over all...until

today.

Christmas Eve in the evening I had about a cup of spagetti with

meat. Almost immediately my stomach hurt and I thought wow going w/o

meat has made me sensitive to it. Then Christmas Day I totally went

off raw and ate all the traditional stuff but my stomach did not

bother me other than typical overeating discomfort. Today, the 26th,

I certainly knew I had eaten wrong by the fatigue and water

retention, but started back with the fruit and by afternoon was

feeling pretty good. Then was going to work and thought I'd eat a

couple of eggs to see me through. My kids were eating chips and dip

and I gave in and ate a moderate amount. Almost immediately I got a

stomach ache and it has lasted 6 hours so far.

Anyone have a similar experience or any thoughts on the matter? Does

one's stomach get sensitive to the foods we don't eat anymore. Do

you think my poor stomach is in revolt mode?

Hey, I know most on the list are old timers at this but anyone else

go off raw for the holiday? Curious too if there are those who had

holiday raw fare.

Truly,

Nina
