Guest guest Posted December 27, 2003 Report Share Posted December 27, 2003 One of my favourite snacks or lunches. -- Finely chop and stuff organic avocado halves* with: -Red onion or scallion or shallot-[my favourite]. -Roma tomato. -Fresh cilantro or dill or both. add; -Fresh squeezed lime juice. -Your choice of sprouts. I prefer lentils. I like to refrigerate the ingredients before stuffing. But keep the avocado at room temperature for a contrast of temps. ~~Optional for those who use oils. Drizzle with a high quality Omega 3 oil such as Flax or Udo's to balance out the Omega6 of the avocado. Purists may want to freshly grind some flax seed. Goes with any of: -a pepper on the side if you choose to pep it up. -sauerkraut or kimchee. -sliced cucumber. -celerey stick -sunflower seeds. -walnuts - * to best halve an avocado simply run a paring knife in a circle lengthwise around the avocado and down to the pit all around, then grab one half in each hand and twist. rusty Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
