Guest guest
Kay, Also good to hear that I am not alone. about 2 1/2 years from when I learned about the raw lifestyle. The trick for me was what order to give things up. I started by going eating raw food for 6 months while drinking, smoking weed and cigarettes. I though that I would be able to quit those once settled into eating raw food. I realized that I needed to quit drinking and drugs as a first step. I then fumbled through all of the other steps until 100% raw. I am an active menber of AA, and have met a lot of good people whith great sobriety, who are still not very healthy. I believe that it is very important for the addict to go raw. I don't think I could heal if I still smoked, ate sugar and cooked food. All of that stuff makes me depressed and anxious. I can not tell you how good it feels to be free of all addictions ! I have been a slave to them my whoile life. I found the opposite to be true. I quit smoking a few weeks before going raw, and ended up picking it up again not long after. Different strokes for different folks... Guest guest
Bridgitte Fasting helped me to stop smoking a lot. It was tough stopping for me. I cut down a lot before stopping and lapsed a few times with the odd puff but in the end it all went.
