Guest guest
Hi Lili, I don't recommend exercising during a fast. This is counter productive to getting results. You want your body to use as much energy as possible for healing, not making muscle. If you exercise during the first 3 days you'll also losing much more muscle tissue as your body may still be feeding on muscle instead of fat. It can take up to three days to get to the protein sparing point. To Your Radiant Health and Happiness, Roger Haeske Have you tried the Raw Diet many times but failed to stick with it? Guest guest
Well this is my third day of fasting and I feel great! I did 30 minutes of light cardio this morning without any problems. I almost gave in yesterday after I had this uncontrollable urge for a mcdonald's fish sandwhich with cheese but the urge left as soon as it came, thank God for that. I have always been a compulsive eater, sugar addict, and had problems with my weight. I have tried many, many, times to fast and have been unable to do so. I think what makes this time so different is that I joined this group and have been doing tons of reading and I now have knowledge of why I'm doing what I'm doing. Knowledge is a powerful thing huh? Before everything I did was for the sake of only weight loss. I actually believed that if I only lost the weight that would improve everything. Now the weight loss is only the icing on the cake for me. In the past I had vague reasons but didn't fully understand the cellular benefits obtained from nutrition and modest fasting and how they effect the person as a whole.(mentally, spiritually, physically, and emotionally) The above views have made me more dedicated and I feel like a child learning how to eat and fully live for the first time. I can't wait to start eating raw and reaping all the benefits. I think journal writing will be really therapeutic for me and will allow me to vent and express my thoughts so that I won't bore all of you to death. lol Lili p.s. I would like to eventually be able to fast one day per week and 5-7 days every 4 months at the start of the new seasons.
Guest guest
Lili, If the urge to eat something gets too strong just have some fruit juice or water and then either carry on or plan you next fast which will be much easier.
