Guest guest
I just wanted to let you know that I had to change the night for our Thanksgiving Raw Food Vegan Potluck Dinner and Support Group. It turns out that the Co-op has hired a cleaning crew to come in on Tuesday nights and they clean when we are using the room. So for this month our meeting and potluck will be moved to Monday night November 24 from 7:45 to 9:45pm at the George St. Co-op. Starting in December we will move the meetings to the second Thursday of the month which is December 11th. It is possible to change the day but Monday’s aren’t great because of a regular conflicting raw food event in NY. We often have people from the NY group attend our group and so they may not be able to do that if the meetings are on Monday nights. Hope this works with your schedule, Roger Haeske Thanksgiving Raw Food Vegan Dinner and Support Group This month's NJ Raw Food Support Group Meeting will be a potluck dinner at the George St. Co-op. Keep in mind it will not be on the third Tuesday but instead on the fourth Monday, November 24, from 7:45 to 9:45pm. Please bring a vegan raw food dish to share with enough food so that at least seven people could make a side dish out of it. We'll have dinner first and afterwards we'll have a 1-hour support group meeting. We can discuss how to succeed socially on a raw food diet during the holidays. I'll also answer any questions you have about eating a healthy raw food diet. Let's make this a special event. Consider inviting friends and relatives who aren't currently eating raw foods but who are open to learning more. This could really transform their lives. In addition, they'll be able to discover how delicious raw foods really are. Suggested Donation of $4.00. See you there, Roger Haeske Directions to the: George St. Co-op 89 Morris St. New Brunswick, NJ 08901 732-247-8280 Walking directions to the George St. Co-op from the New Brunswick Train Station. (Car directions are below) Make sure to get off at the main New Brunswick stop. There is a Jersey Ave, stop which isn't the right one. Once you get off the train you'll go down the stairs and you'll run into Easton Ave. You'll turn left and go under the bridge. At the light turn left. That is Route 27, it may be called French street at that point. (Not Sure) Anyway, you'll know it is the right street because you'll see a University Bookstore and to the left of that you'll see a McDonald's. Repeating: At French st. (Rte 27) you turn left. The first cross street you'll hit is Spring St. At the next block you'll turn right on George St. You'll walk by about 5 or 6 traffic lights. (Short blocks) You'll turn right at Livingston Ave. From there you walk up past one traffic light. The next block after that light is Morris St. You turn left there and the George St. Co-op will be the first building on the left hand side of the street. Go upstairs for the meeting. ++++++++++ Directions by Car Take the NJ Turnpike exit number nine. Stay to your right as you exit and take Rte 18 North. This heads you towards New Brunswick. It's only a few miles away. You'll pass two traffic lights. The second traffic light is for Commercial Ave. There is an Exxon station on your left and I believe a Gulf station as well. Shortly after the traffic light for Commercial Ave, there is an exit on the right hand side for New St. Take that exit and go to the third traffic light. At that light, turn left onto Livingston Ave. At the first block that you can, turn left onto Morris St. The Co-op is the first building on the left, 89 Morris St. There is metered parking on the street. I believe they only check the meters until 5pm. Nevertheless, you'll have to read the signs and follow them. The Co-op also has 3 of its own parking spots on the left hand side.
