Guest guest
Hello, I've heard that when man demanded food other than what was given in the beginning, and God granted that request, life span was then much shorter. I have eaten raw for only 2 mo. but since I began I have wondered how anyone can eat raw and not believe in God? I thought with so many in this group someone who doesn't eat raw because of what we are told in the Bible about eating, might tell me what they base eating raw on? ~~Sharyn in NC rawfood , tev treowlufu <goraw808> wrote: > 3 And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, and after his image; and called his name Seth: > 4 And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters: > 5 And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died. > 6 And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos: > 7 And Seth lived after he begat Enos eight hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters: > 8 And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years: and he died. > 9 And Enos lived ninety years, and begat Cainan: > 10 And Enos lived after he begat Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years, and begat sons and daughters: > 11 And all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years: and he died. > 12 And Cainan lived seventy years and begat Mahalaleel: > 13 And Cainan lived after he begat Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years, and begat sons and daughters: > 14 And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years: and he died. > 15 And Mahalaleel lived sixty and five years, and begat Jared: > 16 And Mahalaleel lived after he begat Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters: > 17 And all the days of Mahalaleel were eight hundred ninety and five years: and he died. > 18 And Jared lived an hundred sixty and two years, and he begat Enoch: > 19 And Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: > 20 And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years: and he died. > > > kauguy <no_reply > wrote:Yes Peter I don't remember anyone in the bible living to be 900 but > I'm not a bible expert. > > > The experience of dynamic religious living transforms the mediocre individual into a personality of idealistic power. When we considered that we humans are the only animals to cook their food, it just didn't make sense. We've made a lot of dietary and lifestyle changes to live more naturally and decrease our impact on the environment. Transitioning to raw food seemed like the next logical step. In addition, when we began looking into the health effects of cooked food vs. raw food, we became convinced that raw food is the way we want to go. Guest guest
Sharyn, I think I follow your thinking. Eating raw could depend solely on health or a person could eat raw and never think about God. It might be the taste or even cultural upbringing. Easy really. However I find eating raw reinforces my notion of natures great plan and the non-biblical theory of evolution is with me every day. I see how each species has its slot and time. I feel the confines of being human. I can look around and see what happens when animals eat the wrong food and can justify eating raw on that. But then again I believe in God and know that the Bible was written a long time ago by people who did not know much about science. Guest guest
I should also point out that the ancient Jewish method for calendar-time reckoning differed from our own modern method. I do not have the data that would demonstrate the comparison, so I do not know how valid the biblical ages are as examples of longevity. regards, tev tev treowlufu <goraw808 wrote: 3 And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, and after his image; and called his name Seth: 4 And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters: 5 And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died. 6 And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos: 7 And Seth lived after he begat Enos eight hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters: 8 And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years: and he died. 9 And Enos lived ninety years, and begat Cainan: 10 And Enos lived after he begat Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years, and begat sons and daughters: 11 And all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years: and he died. " I eat raw because I'm atheist. Not that I don't believe in god, I do. But I do not believe that god is superior to me. I believe that god is my servant. I am not his (or hers). Atheism means that you do not believe in a superior being. Scholars have been arguing for 2000 years that Christ, by the strict definition of the word was atheist. I do not believe in an after life. When I die I will cease to exist. Therefore this life is all that I have. I would like to live it as long as possible. In order to do that I have to be as healthy as possible. Raw live foods are the path to perfect health.
