Guest guest
Roger thanks for the links, I have just recently bought the Eat right for your blood type book. I by no means believe in eating excessive protein on any diet. The amount of protein needed in the body is directly related to the amount of muscle damage created from strenuous activity. (Purely Maintenance) I do buy books to see what they are about. I like to read things first hand as most people are trying to sell something else and won’t tell you everything without a biased opinion. Take the guy who believes we are all just like Gorillas for instance. Doesn’t mention the fact that Gorillas only live 35-45 years at best or the fact that most Gorilla babies die from sickness before the age of 2. It is very easy to poke holes... I did buy Live right for your blood type 2 years ago and found it very interesting. I have been focusing my attention on Raw for the last 2 years. Oh by the way the last time I checked squirrels have the same blood type among the same species. The difference in humans is very interesting as you cannot transfuse O, B, A, AB universally. There has been recent scientific research that says it was mans leaving the rain forest and eating more protein that separated us from the early apelike humans. Science states that a high protein diet would be needed to develop such a large brain. I do tend to support this theory. We are smarter now and have the ability to support ourselves by combining Greens, Sprouted Nuts & Seeds, Fresh Herbs and Fruit. Not to mention in an unlimited quantity and superior quality. I do believe that the quality of life among the educated in nutrition is far better than past generations have ever been able to live. Which to me is a great reason to wake up every day in a positive light. As far as herbs, I have found that most in their raw form are very nutrient rich. I have also found that I have much better results with the bulk herbs made in a tea apposed to capsules. Raw fresh greens are just like a mega vitamin (Especially the Herbs). This fact is what has brought me to search for wild dishes. I live just north of Atlanta in Canton, GA. (Where Metro Meets The Mountains) LOL I don’t think I will be doing any walks till after the first of the year. If you live close I wouldn’t mind having you along on a hike. It is the best place to talk and I’m sure the conversation would be great. This will be a part time thing for me as I have a great job. It is not my first love but it pays the bills and I right my own deal. This is only my opinion Have a good one, Forestgather (Bruce) The New with improved product search
Guest guest
Hi Bruce, I live in New Jersey. It's only about a 15 hour drive. Oh well. By the way I don't agree with the protein argument and higher brain function. Don't have time to get into it really. But IMO that is a myth. There are several things that you mentioned in your post which you may start changing your opinion on the more you study the raw lifestyle. I know I sure changed my viewpoints since maintaining 100% raw. You may want to go to Dr. Graham's message board to get some new insights that usually don't pop up on this message board. If you want to learn from someone who really knows, his stuff then go to this link. http://www.vegsource.com/talk/raw/index.html I've seen many speakers on the raw food diet, but I'd say most of them can't hold a candle to Dr. Graham. People just think he's spouting off some Natural Hygiene theories but being in personal contact with him and reading his message boards I realize he knows a hell of a lot. I know because I've been to presentations by most of the top raw foods educators in the world. He's been fasting people for 20 years and been eating raw for longer than that. He has seen so many raw foodists, his experience is quite vast. Take care, Roger
Guest guest
Hey thanks again I'll definitely check it out. Well you might have seen the show on TV it was 4-6 months ago. It was either National Geographic or Discovery Science. It was on the evolution of man. Of course we are talking about a million years ago.
