Guest guest
The nut pate tastes great but I'd be very careful to go easy on it. I'd say that more than 15% of your calories as fat is quite dangerous and a toxic overload to the system. So you have to be careful to eat this only so often because you will invariably end up eating too much. Fat is an appetite stimulant. Nut Pate: Soak sunflower seeds or almonds overnight. In a Vitamix or powerful blender put in chopped tomatoes, cucumbers and celery. Add hot pepper or other spices. Warning about these spices as well. I don't think they are the best for you. Liquefy this mixture. Then rinse and dry the seeds or nuts and add them to the liquefied mix. Blend at slow speed. Keep on blending and adding seeds or nuts until you get a thick pate like consistency. You can add chopped tomatoes, celery, cucumber etc to the pate to make it have more veggies, non-sweet fruit and a chunkier consistency. If you don't have time to soak the nuts then you can just put them in a coffee grinder and grind them into a powder or flour like consistency. Then you just add it to the liquefied mix. I find it tastes better if the nuts and seeds are soaked. Hope you enjoy it, Roger Are you plagued by these problems with your raw food diet? 1. Guest guest
Thank you so much Roger, it sounds really nice. I haven't tried to make anything like that yet, but a little for a treat would be very nice. I'm hoping to try a few little things like this now, so that I can make myself a few tasty treats over Christmas in order not to feel left out. Thanks very much again for sharing it with me. Love Shell.
