Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I have been a raw foodist since the beginning of the year. I was at 90% till winter came, then the fruit kind of didn't taste so good and I went down to eatting about 60%. I am not a vegan or the like but I don't eat eggs or meat. I have a small ammount of fish maybe once a month and I don't drink milk. Basicly my diet is fruit/ veggies and (1 cooked meal that I couldn't kick) of lentils or pulses with rice. I use oil not butter in dishes. I have been feeling very good. I had psoriasis which has reduced. I also suffered from allergies and they have cleared up, unless I eat something from a packet. Here is the problem then for anyone who can help me. I did a check up at the doctors for my metabolism as I am over weight and I thought my diet should slowly remove it but it hasn't. She found a problem with my liver which is effecting my metabolism. However, she also said I have a very clear protein defficiency and when I told her my diet she flipped out. She has insisted I eat meat 4 times a week and drink milk every day, and 'do try to eat some cheese too'. Is this the only cure for a protein defficiency? Is it really such a big deal? Any advice please. Thanks Wendy
