Guest guest
I have a friend in LA who has used naturopaths in the past - I'll see if she has one she would recommend. Bridgitte
Guest guest
I think you are on the right track albeit rather long. You might try Dr. Douglas Graham. It is only a suggestion and one consultation would probably be worth the try given all the other attempts you have had. Dr. Graham is a Chiropractor and easily found on the web through any search engine Peter phiislife [phiislife] 05 October 2003 04:27 rawfood [Raw Food] I am looking for a good Naturopath/Homeopath in Los Angeles I'm new to this board and have been having severe digestive problems accompanied by heart palpitations and hypoglycemic spells. I've been to a thousand Dr.'s. Symptoms include: Inability to gain weight, lower abdominal pain (below navel), Tinnitus, extreme fatigue, eipodes of nausea after eating, cold, clammy skin, poor circulation in extremities, depression, severe anxiety, chest pain, spells of tachycardia and arrythmia, slow HR, weakness in legs, poor exercise tolerance, dizzy spells, disorientation, pins and needles, etc... I can't work, have trouble leaving the house, etc...I have ruled out heart disease and cancer, and have had just about every medical test known to man. I'm seeing a Rheumytologist who did an ANA test and said I have an auto-immune/connective tissue disorder because of my loe platelets, low white, and periodically low red count, along with a low positive ANA. He wants to put me on a drug to treat the disorder, but I hate drugs and refuse to take them unless the disease is killing me! Anyway, I've seen one naturopath who is too expensive and not very attentive so I'm looking for another. I'm also considering seeing a well known herbalist (Van Benschoten) but am not sure what direction to go in. I am a 37 year old male, 6ft, 165pnds, reasonably good health up until a few years ago. I try to exercise, but feel too weak at times. they diagnosed me with bacterial overgrowth of the small intestine as I'm having trouble digesting carbs (pasta, breads, certain fruits). I tried Primal Defense by Garden Of Life, but felt nothing for weeks, then had severe symptoms (Hypoglycemia, Cold extremities, nausea, fatigue). The doc says no Probiotics because of the overgrowth, so I discontinued and feel a little better. I am currently on an organic diet and eat raw vegies, fresh vegie juice, fruits, chicken, fish, nuts and seeds and sprouted grains. I supplement with Kyolic liquid garlic, Fish oil (liquid), Ground flax seeds, E, B-complex, B-12, Caprilic acid (for possible candida), Uva ursi, Kyo-Green, Sun Chlorella, and goats milk (powder-Garden Of Life) and Soy or Rice Milk Protein shake. Anyone know an excellent naturopath in Los Angeles? Any advice on diet??? I'm going to read more about the raw diet, but am concerned about my Hypoglycemia with this, as too much fruit might cause problems. Any advice??? Thanks.
