Guest guest
I just wanted to pay a little hommage to the veggies of my summer garden, we ate our last ears of sweet, fresh corn last night and I am a little misty today. (could be my raging-pregnant-hormones though too) But I really had a great summer, garden-wise. My lettuces stayed crisp and full-headed, the corn exploded amazingly in your mouth, and the parsley was beyond green and full of wonderful nutrients. We also had Swiss Chard, tomatoes (which I don't care for especially,) but even I have to say, for tomatoes they were darn good. We also had huge Zucchini, Yellow Squash, carrots (but of course, I didn't plant enough), oh and the celery. Let me tell you about the celery, nothing from the grocery store could ever touch that celery, tall, green leafy stalks that made so much incredible juice-yummy. I am grateful for my bountiful garden and I look forward to next spring when I can replant it. Am looking forward to a nice, quiet winter here on Cape Cod. Peace, Kris
