Guest guest
Hi everyone! I am still in my first month of raw food, and decided to start my first juice fast a few days early. I wasn't hungry when I woke up yesterday (rare for me) and I had all my produce ready, so I decided I would start immediately. I started with filtered water, and thought I'd have my first juice when I felt hungry. That wasn't until late afternoon! I had 2 glasses of carrot/kale/cucumber juice last night. This morning I was not hungry, but I started with an 8 ox grapefruit juice at 10:00. I am really excited about juice fasting, and am anticipating detox symptoms to start any time. I am planning a 2 week fast, but may extend it up to 4 weeks if I am still feeling great about not eating. I live in a small community with NO organic food available at the local store. I talked to the produce manager and he ordered organic carrots for me. I asked for 20 pounds to start, but their supplier only ships it in 24- 2lb bags. I took the whole 48 pounds. I have an extra fridge in our cabin (on the same property), so I put most of it there. Any suggestions on how to keep carrots fresh for a while would be greatly appreciated! I also bought some parsley as I read it has anti-inflammatory properties. Has anyone tried parsley for this before? I went off all of my medications for the fast, and have herniated discs in my back. I haven't been able to miss my Naprosyn for 3 years without severe pain, but I'm hoping to control the inflammation naturally. Thanks for all the advice and encouragement this group provides! Guest guest
Rhonda, I had a bulged disk that was helped greatly with gravity boots (they alow you to hang upside down). I read they are good for herniated discs too. Pete rawfood , " Rhonda " <rcofresi@e...> wrote: > Hi everyone!
