Guest guest
Hi I am trying to figure this out cause I believe I read it somewhere before but can't seem to find it now so thought I would ask you guys. I believe I read that you can soak seeds and nuts over night and then eat with out sprouting them. That they are still really good for you and safer too. So I am just wondering if any of you guys know anything about this. I have golden flax seeds and pumkin right now as I am looking for good fiber sources but if I like I will try other stuff too. I think I remember it even saying beans and legumes could be eating this away too. Oh yeah one more question as I have heard this different ways. How do you eat flax seeds? I have read and been told at the health food store that you have to grind them before eating or they can get stuck in your intestine. But then that depends on who you talk to cause I have been told it's okay to eat whole. So just wondering if you all could help me on this too. So you all know how they would be better to eat soaked or reg? Anyway I hope someone knows cause I would like to give it a try. Need all the help I can get. Thanks so much and look forward to hearing back from you all melissa Hope this all makes sense to you all. Thanks so much.
Guest guest
Nuts and seeds contain enzyme inhibitors. If eaten without being soaked (or heated) you will not get any of the enzymes. Soaking them releases these inhibitors so your body can then use the enzymes. mel_henry <mel_henry wrote:Hi I am trying to figure this out cause I believe I read it somewhere before but can't seem to find it now so thought I would ask you guys.
