Guest guest
Mike; What you are talking about is processing a toxic food to make it eatable. I think its fine if you want to do that, but I wouldn't waste my time. Guest guest
Thank you all so much for posting all the articles on whether or not to eat grains. I will read everything posted, though it will take a while and appreciate everyone taking the time. I wanted to ask about grinding whole grains. Is it vital to have a grinding machine or could this be done in a blender. Secondly, I'm so out of touch as to what whole grains are, that when I looked in the health shop at the rolled oats, oat flakes, oat meal etc, I din't know what it all meant. There was nothing in the health shop called berries, like wheat berries or rye berries. They said they'd never heard of these things. Does anyone know if they are called by a different name in the UK, or could put me onto a UK website that sells such things. I have been eating raw porridge, soaked overnight for about 12 hours for quite a long time and it seems to do me no harm. But I've not been soaking the whole grain I don't think, just porridge oats which come ready flaked and it sounds like that makes them go rancid. Oh dear me, I seem to become more confused and more knowledgable all at the same time if that's possible. Love Shell.
