" Dear Roger, I couldn't agree with you more. There's a lot to be gained by being knowledgeable of what studies say, and I do believe there are some intrinsic truths regarding food--like whole foods are better than processed--but every body is different. Part of what's gotten me to my current state of not feeling my best was that last year I had some blood work drawn and my protein levels were a little low. My protein levels are now great, but I don't feel as well. Historically, I've always felt my best and been my healthiest when I ate a very clean diet. That diet also has my protein levels a little low. I can't help but think that how I feel and function is really a better indicator of my health than a medical standard that could be reevaluated anyway.
