You can find this product in health food stores for ~$3.95 for a 16 fl.oz. bottle. It is essentially a repackaged soy sauce, and its nutritional and amino acid profile is nearly identical to that of Tamari or soy sauce. IMO, you would be doing yourself a favor to purchase a good naturally fermented Tamari or soy sauce (a.k.a. shoyu) and substitute that (Tamari is lower in sodium). Your wallet and palate will thank you (again, just my $.02).
Guest guest
Ursula, Here is a link describing liquid aminos. http://www.bragg.com/products/liquidaminos.html I've never used them on raw foods, although my little girl loves to spray it on broccoli. I began using them when I quit eating animal products. I used it instead of butter (however the flavor is nothing like butter) on potatoes, pop corn, and as a flavor enhancer to other foods. ~Wendy
