Guest guest
Hey Rose, you may want to try a Vitamixer for those almonds. I think people have all sorts of opinions about this machine but I am in the Solid Pro camp. It does not simply slice and slice like a blender does, but also whacks and bangs the stuff in there -not dissimilar to our chewing, if we could chew so thoroughly!- to On Beyond " Smoothie. " (and no waste) So anyway I know that whenever I'm tired of chewing or in a regrettable rush --or just wanna-- I can toss the handful of nuts n seeds into the vegetable blend going on in there and BAM, 60 seconds later: down the hatch. One of life's terribly guilty pleasures! Also for people who extract juice: a nice easy-chew salad/spread can be made from the pulp left behind in a juice extractor. I am fond of carrot pulp mixed together with some walnuts, lemon juice, and a breath of cilantro. Or cinnamon. Great rolled up in big green leaves. And divine with some julienne bell peppers in there too. (cover your ears, Peter!) Gracie SBC DSL - Now only $29.95 per month! http://sbc. Guest guest
Thanks, Gracie. I appreciate the suggestion. I soaked some almonds the other day and wow! what a difference! Oh, and that recipe sounds wonderful. Thanks. Rose
