Guest guest
I just a baby 8 months ago and I can't seem to lose my baby weight. I am still stuck in the habit of eating for two. I find myself picking all day long at junk food such as ice cream, cakes, chips, and donuts. Before i got pregnant i only ate one meal a day, dinner. I read that going on a raw diet would help shed some pounds. Is this true? If so how can i get started? How can i make the transition from eating all this junk to just fruits and veggies? Also how much should I eat per day? And will going all raw take away my energy and make me tired all the time? If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate them. Thanks! Guest guest
Hi Stardust, My youngest is almost two, I still nurse him some, so I can relate to the 'baby fat' syndrome. Although I constantly see pregnant women or women with young children who don't look like they gained a POUND while pg, my body didn't work that way. Anyway, I switched to mostly raw 1 1/2 weeks ago and I feel great. I've lost twelve pounds (three days of fasting in there to accomplish that, though), my skin looks probably ten years younger. I *no longer am using facial moisturizer (full of chemicals but I thought I needed it) because the wrinkles (I'm in my forties) around my eyes are barely visible*. As for how to start, if you've been eating pretty much the SAD (standard American diet), which it sounds like you have from your post, I would just transition into it. Start by having nothing but raw fruit until noon for a few days. Then add a BIG salad at lunch. Then go from there. Experiment with recipes or see if you like to just eat fruits/veggies whole. I switch back and forth. I try to let my body be my guide. I usually want fruit in the morning, though, and a salad at lunch. Supper is a toss-up, depending on how I feel. Hope this helps, Cathe (P.S. Don't buy cakes, ice cream, donuts, etc. and they're a lot easier to resist.)
