Many of the boys from India - at least the ones who came to our ashram in New York - appeared very healthy and also very spiritually aware eat a cooked grains, raw fruit/veggie nut and seed diet. For me I prefer to go raw, but I think the whole goal of whatever you are doing is to do it from the heart - rules for the sake of rules seem like just another ego game. It's kind of amazing - for me raw foods alters my consciousness radically towards things that are spiritual. I have no health concerns so for me that's my only reason for eating raw. Since going high raw in January and totally raw mid February my desire to exercise has plummeted. What's up with that? Just my thoughts, jan
