I wonder if some of you guys would mind sharing a typical day's menu on the raw

diet? I especially get stumped at lunch time since I often need to eat

something quick (I have a 2 yr old, and 9 mo old boys).

I am new to this way of eating, actually haven't started yet but have often

tried the Hallelujah Acres approach. I keep coming back to this way of eating,

even when I " fall off the wagon " !

Sincerely,

Becky P.

Becky,

As you are in a state of transition, You would probably need David

Wolfe's book The Sunfood Success System

as best guidance.

He sets up a triangle of fresh fruit green leaves and vegetable fats.

He says that they can be eaten in any order and varied in the short

term. However high sugar fruit and

vegetables lead to flatulence. They are a bad mix as the stomach

requires different chemistry for their digestion;

hence all the gas.

He suggests fruit in the morning, green leaves at lunch with low sugar

fruit such as zucchini and tomatoes and

some avocado or a few nuts with more green for dinner. AS you go on you

can reduce the fat intake but initially it will appeal as it gives a lot

of energy which will no longer be coming from grain. Fruit just before

sleep leads to strong dreams. Better to eat green if you feel hungry

late at night.

Hope these scant guidelines help.

Peter
