Guest guest
Victor; when ever I come back to this club after being away for a while. I always look for messages from you, Peter, Roger, and Orions dad, cause you guys have got your fingers on the heart throb of this club. When I read about your water fast, I was on the edge of my seat. I just finished reading " Rational Fasting " by Arnold Ehret. In reading this book I have come to realize that fasting is as important, if not more important than eating raw. If any of you have not read this book you have got to get it. I literally dream of doing a fast. But I am working my butt off right now and I don't think it would be a good idea. Maybe I can do it this summer. You can not imagine what it was like to see my old buddy Victor doing a water fast. Wow! Ehret says you can drink lemon aid during a fast, but I think it should be a water fast. I read about sensory deprivation tanks and they said that when you stop putting information into your brain, all this stuff comes out of it, and I think nutrition is the same. If you stop putting anything in your body, all this crap comes out. Ehret said you should start with short fasts and work your way up to longer fasts. Starting with a 9 day fast is monumental. Ehret talks about the care you need to take in coming off a fast and how people have died not doing it right. We haven't heard from you for a while, Victor, so I hope you did it right! Guest guest
A lot of people who sell their counselling on fasting insist upon their indispensability. It makes sense. As I have said before, if one gets in a mess with a fast there are two obvious options. First: break the fast slowly and the second: take medical opinion. I work by the generality that a fast should not be more than about twice as long as the your longest fast. I add to that that there should be a longish gap between fasts too. Otherwise the body will be preparing for the next famine and a mixed-up cycle will develop. However, I have also read that a tongue should be pink before the fast is stopped. What is taken on the fast can depend upon what is being sought. A friend born in the Punjab told me that at the slightest sign of any illness, tradition indicates fasting with a little lemon juice. I think this approach is probably optimal for purging the gut of infection and a lot of minor problem . For detoxification, water fasting seems best tome although it might be too fast for others and some juice could slow the adverse symptoms in that plight. I can see that for specific healing processes there could be advantages on taking specific juices.
