[Raw Food] ?going raw?

Hi,

So how should one go about going raw.

Thank you

I'd suggest you start with my free report below. It will give you some

valuable insights into what you have to do to go raw and be successful.

It's Christmas time and everyone is out buying a tree or presents.

Your question is rather board. I would suggest that you

1.) Do a search on or browse the many posts to this group since many

people have already written excellent and informative posts on the

topic and do some reading.

2.) Click on " Links " on the menu to the right and visit other sites

that focus on a raw food diet and do some reading.

3.) Buy any of the raw food books you see mentioned and do some

reading.

That should get you started in the right direction but in answer to

your question... stop eating COOKED food! It's so simple it's mind

boggling.

My last message just said " Slowly " . It is the big word.

You have attracted other responses and the reading is vital.

It drives up the motivation and helps you to avoid the pitfalls.

To all that reading I lob in these few points.

It has been said in this forum that cooked food is the biggest

addiction on the planet. Getting rid of it tougher than kicking

nicotine for a heavy smoker - when Richard Burton gave up smoking

without preparation, 10 days later he woke up in the Caribbean

having bought a house which he most certainly did not want - his words.

Try to do it all in one day and you will give your body such a jerk

that you could wind up in hospital. By the same token, I suspect that

a plate of meat would land me in hospital. Certainly, a plate of cooked

rice of a paella with prawns and tiny bits of chicken gave me a very bad

three days when I was a few months into rawfoodism.

The smart way rawfoodism is to do it slowly methodically and

relentlessly.

There is no need to either punish yourself or suffer. In my case in the

first few months I felt a sensation which I have only felt at that time.

I vividly recall feeling a sense of hunger whilst not actually wanting

to

eat much more. It sharpened my mind. I think my body was learning to

take

a lot more out of the food I was eating whilst still looking around for

the carbohydrate packed food it used to get.

Thus in transition you can eat foods which the raw food purist will

frown on.

Do not throw out things such as olive oil on your first day; rather get

rid of the

big items first. If you currently eat a lot of chicken, chop the

portion

right down for a couple of weeks before you axe chicken completely.

Then move

through you current menu until all these recipes either cooked or

uncooked are

out the window. It should take a year or so but you will feel clearer

and

freer in the head with each new vow.

If that is too long, you can speed up the process by the fasting and

cleansing route.

Start with juice fasts for a few days but do not mix vegetable juices

with fruit juices.

In fact always stay away from mixing them. The gut needs different

digestive modes

to deal with fruit and vegetable so that if you mix them, the chemistry

of mixing the

acid of fruit with the alkaline of green leaves may produces a lot of

gas in the form

of flatulence. Leave a good gap between each fast depending upon the

severity of the fast.

Any fast that goes over five days should get the colonic wash.

Otherwise

what remains in your gut will keep recycling and make you feel awful.

After a long fast

and several washes you need to put the intestinal bacteria back. There

are

different ways for doing that which are easy to read about.

Having said that, buy about a kilo of spinach a day and eat it raw and

most of the

hungers, pitfalls, worries and problems will never happen. At first it

may seem boring

but it will grow on you.

Good luck

Peter
