For all you long term raw foodists who are female in the 5'5 " to

5'7 " range, what is your weight and your dress size? I am just

trying to picture where I will be in about 6 months or so. Amy Bass

RMB,

well, it seems dangerous to answer this question, for many

reasons, but you asked, so I " ll answer. But please know that I

am not suggesting what YOU should weigh. I am 5'6 " and weigh 120

lbs. As an exercise physiologist and personal trainer, I

personally don't think weight should matter. I weigh in about

once or twice a year if I happen to see a scale somewhere ( or

I'm being measured by someone else), and it's been roughly the

same for about the last 25 years. I did weigh more (128)when I

was competing nationally in triathlons in my late 20's. I had

more muscle then and also ate more.

IMO,

IT's what that weight is composed of that's important. Women

need 11-12% body fat to survive healthfully. The average woman

is about 22%. If you want to have muscle defintion, you will

have to go lower than 18%. Before I get jumped on for advocating

something I'm not, I want to specify that it is NOT low body fat

that usually causes amenorrhea or health problems in young

women. IT is poor eating habits and crazy diets or binging and

purging that causes health problems.

Frame does matter also. I seem to have a small one, according to

stats, and comparing my wrists to women who are much more petite

than me.
