Hi, raw foodist out there. I am new to the entire concept of raw food

but i find it the most sensible diet out there. I have read many

books on the subject and i am reay to start a new life. I truly

believe that this is a complete life change for me. I am tired of

being tired and run-downed. I have struggled with my weight all my

life and nothing has seemed to work. I no longer want to eat

processed foods or have to worry about the appropriate temperature to

cook meat for fear of contracting an illness. So on my journey i am

starting. If there are any suggestions out there for a new kid on the

block please dont hesitate to let me know.

Hi raveness,

There's two articles on the net about transitioning to raw foods that I like

very much:

http://www.sunfood.net/transition_article.html

http://www.gardenofhealth.com/transitioning.html

A good book to start with for most people is probably David Wolfe's 'Sunfood

Diet Success System'. Well, at least I like it a lot. I think it's important to

learn as much as possible to avoid most problems, and I also believe in a very

gradual transition. Take the next step when you feel comfortable with it.

Personally, I have been eating mostly raw foods for a year now, but I am still

not completely 100% raw. I feel though that I am ready to let those last bits of

cooked foods go very soon.
