Guest guest
I broke out the dehydrator last night and started dehydrating apples and bananas. Kept a thermometer in there and it got up to 136 degrees in there! That means all the good stuff is being killed, right? I know this can't be good, is it? Can someone suggest a deydrator that isnt a monster? Heather

That would be better than 136 degrees. I believe it is above 130 degrees where the food becomes dead food and also, if this is correct, enzynes in food is destroyed at 118 degrees. You best get a new dehydrator for your health. Marlene
