Guest guest
Part 1

Thanks for your reply.

Many of my sources of information have already been listed in my previous posts. As far as the info about the Kwashiorkor, I got that first from a lecture by Dr. Douglas Graham and then from page 46 in his book, " Nutrition and Athletic Performance, " Copyright 1999. I also heard one of the people at the lecture confirm that he already new the condition called Kwashiorkor was not caused by a protein deficiency from a source different from Dr. Graham.

Dr. Graham is one of the top leaders in the Natural Hygiene movement. He has been eating a raw vegan diet for over 20 years now. He now trains world class athletes, pros and Olympians on using the raw diet for peak performance. He even worked with Martina Navratilova and I can confirm that because I asked her myself. He has also trained a couple of world record holders who achieved those records only after going to the raw diet. If these athletes thrive on a lower protein diet I think the average person might be able to as well.

As far as the amino acid pool, I believe that is pretty common knowledge nowadays. At this point I can't remember all the sources where I have read about that. I do remember that the author Frances Moore Lappe in the classic vegetarian book " Diet for a Small Planet/20th Anniversary Edition, " had corrected her previous position on the need to have complete amino acids present at every meal for protein to be effective. She originally wrote it just to make sure that she wouldn't get into any trouble. I also think that Arthur Baker's book " Awakening our Self Healing Body, " has more info on that topic. He is actually a member of this club, I think his ID is Satsang1.

Anyway I've read about this protein issue several times from several different sources. I'm sure someone in this group can come up with some more sources for the protein pool idea and that we don't need a complete protein at every meal.
