Guest guest
Jeff, you forgot to put your email. Do you know which chapters will have new updated info? Also, will it be available at Amazon and in bookstores the way the previus editions were? When i talked to the previous publisher a year ago i was told that Viktoras himself was going to be taking over the publishing, is that what happenned? The address you gave is the same as the previous publisher, a metaphysical bookstore in Iowa. Also, you said that the new edition will be 318 pages, but that is the same length as a previous edition, if it has added text wouldn't it be longer?

This is an excellent, excellent, excellent book. When it came out in the 70s it was the first book to combine raw food advocacy and many spiritually oriented subjects that were first beginnng to gain popularity in the West such as Yoga, Chakras, Color Healing, Polarity Therapy, Herbs, Iridology, Breatharianism, Acupressure etc.

The book probably has as many references to scientific studies as every other book on raw foods combined. If you have access to a library that has an extensive collection of medical and scientific journals you will be able to find out much information by following up on these references.

The book has cover art by Peter Max, one of the major artsts of the 60s whose art style was very similar to the Beatles' animated Yellow Submarine style, and many simple line drawings inside that radiate feelings of peace and love and also many diagrams to illustrate the points the text is making. The chapter " Cause of Disease " has a diagram called 'Diagram of Body Fluid Distribution and the Flow of Toxins and Nutrients' which does a good job of illustrating the points that the chapter makes on detoxification.

This book is my personal favorite of any raw food book of the past half century. I am looking forward to seeing the new edition that has updated info.
Guest guest
In hindsight, SURVIVAL is far more inspirational than informational. IMO it should have been rewritten long, long ago.

Does anyone remember the rare printing, i believe it was in the early 80s, that featured a kind of confession by Vik? Something about drinking coffee. Anyway, this appeared in one printing and henceforth never again.
