Hello! To quickly introduce myself, I'm Carla, a

vegan animal rights activist from the Bay Area in

California. I just started transitioning to a raw food diet

on the 1st of this month, but I went from maybe 40%

raw to 80+% about four days ago, and now I'm

beginning to regret it. Yesterday I felt really sick, and I

haven't been sick at all in years! I think it may be

because I ate a little too much during the afternoon, and

almost nothing before 3pm. But even so, I wonder if

anyone has any advice on transitioning safely?

Hi! Glad you are making the move to raw. What

exactly did you eat too much of? It is probably best to

transition slowly and not go totally into raw all at once.

There will be detoxifications. Also, you may need to

drink a liitel lemon juice before you eat a lot of

veggies so that you secrete more digestive enzymes.

Ultimately, the body will do this itself. Non-raw eating

requires different, and sometimes less, digestive juices

and the lemon juice promotes the needed secretions.

<br>Nuts are difficult to digest and should ber soaked 8

hours before eating.<br><br>Best wishes,<br>Sue

Hi Carla,<br><br>Thanks for your message.

Changing over to any healthier diet will allow your body

to detoxify which may give rise to symptoms such as

nausea, headaches, mild depressioin, etc. Go with it,

you're body may well need to clean

out!<br><br>Gina<br><a href=http://www.vibrancy.homestead.com/pageone.html
