Guest guest
I've just finished reading THE RAW LIFE by Paul Nison. I give it a somewhat mixed review, but I'll take what is good and leave the rest.

Of what is good, is Nison's advice to start out by eating raw til' noon. This I did this week, bypassing that powerful habit of coffee and energybars for raw juices, fruits, or some nuts and seeds. Just doing that, what I difference I feel!

Also of what is good, the second part of N's book contains several interviews with longtime Raw Foodist. I feel this is the most interesting and useful info on raw foods I've yet come across, well worth the price of the book. Theory is fine, but seem to me that there's an overabundance of theory and a lack of shared experience in raw food lit. Somehow it was comforting, not alarming, to see that many longtime rawfoodists disagree on some things. One thing seems clear to me, though I've been a raw sceptic for a very long time -- I feel this raw foods deal is what people are saying it is. I plan to continue up from 50% to eating more raw every day.
