Guest guest Posted March 5, 2001 Report Share Posted March 5, 2001 G'day Raws,<br><br>I must admit I am very pleased to be part of this raw group.<br><br>Sometimes I have sailed close to the wind and you haven't kicked me out.<br><br>And so I ask myself what am I doing here?<br><br>My first response is that I am here for my health. I hope to cure my very high blood pressure.<br><br>I think there is a deeper reason, just on the edge of consciousness.<br><br>I've always known that I have an inner life that is so easily interupted by work or friends or worries.<br><br>Oddly enough, but perhaps not so oddly to you, interrupted by food.<br><br>In negotiating through the world of work and family, I've needed to keep my inner life alive but at the same time suppress it so that I could earn a living and get on with people.<br><br>I have used food, cooked food, to manage my inner life.<br><br>I have always known that to open up my inner life like a lotus flower, I would need to give up cooked, fatty, high protein food.<br><br>And of course Raw provides the answer.<br><br>Victor. A recent study showed that thereputic water fasting reversed high blood pressure very quickly.<br>--note water fasting should be supervised--<br><br>Salt which is not required in our diets is a risk factor for high blood pressure and should be minimised.<br><br>Exercise will also lower blood pressure.<br><br>I can't remember for sure but I believe fat is another factor.<br><br>Blake Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
