Guest guest
Dear Mallon,

It's true I'm mean. And our adopted Dad is asking whether I should be removed from the list.

However I am in Recovery and I was hoping you might accompany me on the journey from Mean to Generous.

What I have noticed so far is that raw fruit and vegetables have a marked and fast effect on my body. But the effect on my mind is much slower. This provides a stability to my mind even when my diet changes.

When I discover I am wrong, say Mean or SAD, or worse, Mean and SAD, I change my mind. This is easier said than done.

The part of my mind that is most difficult to change is the Calculating Mind.

My Spontaneous Mind responds pretty quickly to raw, to the physical pleasure of delicious raw fruit and vegetables, my skin becomes soft like silk and I really enjoy walking and dancing. I enjoy the company of others more and they seem to enjoy my company more.

I am in a state of Plenty and my body and Spontaneous Mind respond. However my Calculating Mind says you live in a state of Scarcity. In a SAD society, delicious fresh food is scarce. And so I must compete with others for a scarce resource. I must be mean to find my place in the sun.

Thanks to you I now know this is wrong. I live in a world plentiful with fresh fruit and green, leafy vegetables. There is no need for me to compete with you, in fact there is so much delicious delight, I can afford to share it with you.

My Calculating Mind is still exquisitely calibrated to Scarcity. And it is going to take some time to learn the Calculus of Plenty.

How can I organise my day for Sharing Pleasure and Delight?

Victor Shortus.
