Guest guest
& gt; The problem I have is that they 'don't' care whether you are raw vegan or not. I do not know about Hcy and MMA, but it must come down to some kind of numerical equation, that would be 'relative' to a referance number, that would have to come from people eating an unnatural diet.

I am not suprised that you dont know about MMA or Hcy. ALso, your attacks on me, and sidestepping of the current issue does little to support your postition.

If there was a perfect world and a perfect diet, and you were to follow it, then I guess everything would be ok. So, I guess if you want to find some remote island somewhere that is untouched from civiliazation and practice this idealism, then maybe you would be right.

BUt, the reality is we dont live in aperfect world, and even if we could define the perfect diet, how can you be sure to follow it? All the foods are GE and hybridized, the land is polluted and the soil are not what they once were and less fertile.

If you would take the time to look into the B12 issue yuo would ifnd that it is not a dietary problem, but an environmental one. So, regardless of what diet you follow, we all live in this same environment and it is less then ideal. The air is polluted, the water is polluted, (which were all great soources of B12) and our food is almost sterile and clean.

& gt; Just because you have used your little test to scare a few raw vegans into taking B12 supplements does not mean you are right.

Beleive me, I dont want to be right, nor do i want to scare anyone. I was a very strict raw food vegan for many many years in apparently good health with failry good b12 levels. Then on the advice of another raw fooder, I tested my Hcy and MMY and turned out they were off. These are not very good signs. So, not being one to want to scare people and being one who for YEARS said that their is no B12 issue, decided to lookk futher into it.
And low and behold, it turns out that there are problems not only amongst vegans, and non vegans but also amongst raw fooders. Even those who have been raw fooders for long time.

You didnt address Doug Graham and his public statements that agree with mine. Are you calling him a barbarian and someone who is out scaring other raw fooders? Or you have addressed any of the others I have mentioned. And there are quite a few stuides done on raw fooders that have not been good. Are you going to dismiss the stuides on those who followed 95-99 % raw food diets and say it is the 1-5% cooked food that was the problem?

& gt;You on the other hand have a lot to lose. If I am right, you have wasted a lot of time, (20 years?) and money, trying to get people to eat their Wheaties.

You exude such compassion and tolerance and acceptance. Iguess if you are a 100% raw fooders and reaping the benefits of this ideal system and showing that all off to us, then others can look forward to embracing these values you have developed.

I have nothing to lose. I Have not vested interest either way. I have no 20 yr commitment to anything. I dont really care what you or anyone else does or doesnt do. For many years I sounded just like you. Said the same things, almost verbatim. Even about b12.

But then, when some raw fooders I knew for a long time ended up withproblems, what woudl you do? ignore the truth and relaity and stick to some ideal philsophsy eben though there are problems around you.

BTW, I have never or nor do i promote wheaties

to be continued
