Guest guest
I've been thinking about your previous post about Raw Kids. I hope I didn't scare you away with my post about prosecution. I am not sure but I believe that raw foodist are much more accepted in Australia, than America. I say this because I have read about two medical doctors who were advising their patients to eat raw. One american and one Australian. The American was prosicuted, and is no longer in practice. The Australian is still in practice and wrote a book on the subject. I saw Mel Gibson on T.V. (an Aussie) he says he eats mostly raw, on his doctors orders. I'm going to say that again; " On his doctors orders " . God I love the sound of that! Anyway, if I had kids I would certainly raise them raw, and at the first sign of trouble, I would jump an a plane for Australia, and move in with Victor and his crocodiles. My love for my children would far out weigh my love of country.

I know some raw people raise there kids to tell people they are allergic to whatever cooked food is offered to them.

Doug
Guest guest
Hi Doug,
Didn’t run me off at all, thanks for the concern. I ran the story by my wife who used to be a Child Protective Services investigator in Austin, Texas about 10 years ago.

Her take on it was there were other factors involved other than just diet. I asked her directly if Texas state law would allow the removal of a child over diet and she answered possibly but only if the diet one of Drano or the deadly nightshade.

She said that it practically takes an act of congress to remove a child from his/her parents in Texas. Even to a fault. It’s one of the reasons she left, was the bureaucracy involved in getting kids out of really dangerous situations. I think that the story was incorrectly reported with only the peaks of the story showing.

Thanks again for your concern, and Austrailia does seem pretty inviting.

Jules
