Guest guest
I used to think some of the 100% raw posters to this board seemed quite angry in their posts, and I thought that was a little odd given the positive effect of raw. Now I realize that althought I'm quite happy most of the time, I can't help but get angry when I think about the horrible things going on with food and medicine these days. I think its a normal response once the irony of the situation becomes clear and you spend a little time focusing on it.

I had a tai chi teacher a while back who was a licensed acupuncturist (it's intersting that there is synergy between the 2 disciplines, but that's another story). He told me that when he sees new patients with chronic ailments, that he asks them to bring everything they're currently taking - vitamins, herbs, pharmaceutical drugs, etc. - into his office so he can take a look. Usually they arrive with a large paper bag with all kinds of stuff. First thing he does is tell them to throw the bag away, before putting a few pins in 'em! I've talked to a number of former patients of his (many take up tai chi at his urging) and they claim he had a wonderful impact on their health.

I would bet good money that I could open a practice as a healer and offer a money-back guarantee. Simply by weaning people off the poisonous drugs they've been put on by doctors, I could cure them! Yep, even with a money-back guarantee I bet I could get rich. Could even improve the odds further by stipulating a raw diet, but unfortunately that condition might scare a few people away ;-)

Cheers,
Guest guest
What I get frustrated with isn't so much what's goin on with the food and medicine/medical industries, it's the morons who blindly swallow (pun intended) what these industries advertise, even when you tell them over and over they're being duped!

Milk Does a Body Good! (yeah, a calf's body, that is)

Geez, I was hoping to list several campaign slogans but I get so repulsed at their commercials, I change the channel the very second they come on.

Here's one...

Have It Your Way At Burger King.

WHAAAT? Is that supposed to be enticing? " Yes, I'd like some tomato slices on my ground up cow burger, thank you very much. "

Disgusting.
