Dear Doug,

Thank you for your gracious

reply.

And I think one of your good insights is that cooked

food is addictive.

Some may have trouble with

the word 'addictive' so I am happy to say

'habituated'.

The interesting thing, though, is that those who are

addicted or habituated are acting logically within their

addiction.

That is why it is so hard, almost impossible, to end

an addiction.

Generally, people have to reach

rock bottom before they will make a radical

change.

Rock bottom might mean a very serious illness or

social rejection.

Addicts, almost always, can't

be appealed to through reason.

I think that

most of us here have made the decision to eat raw

food; and this means very large amounts of fresh fruit

and vegetables.

Having made the decision, we

should encourage each other, in this group, to implement

the decision.

Debate is good, while

remembering to debate the idea, and respect and care for the

person.

I must admit I don't know how to treat those who

are addicted to cooked food.

Reason doesn't

work, so perhaps we need the skills of tolerance and

conflict resolution.

I think you have good insight

and always look forward to reading your

posts.

Victor.
