Guest guest
Every summer the Bogong Moths fly south from the sub-tropical mountains and west from the temperate coast to caves in the Bongong Mountains, now snow-free.

There are millions of them, trillions of them and they fill the cave walls deep with fluttering moths, fat and fresh and can be gathered into a basket with your hands.

Traditionally they were lightly cooked over a fire and left us fat and fit for the walk back home.

And thanks to you, I have started eating them raw. They have a nutty taste and are full of delicious raw fat, stored from the tropics and the coast to see them through the breeding season.

My only complaint is that they flutter as they go down.
