Guest guest
Insect larvae that taste good would quickly talk a hungry prehistoric dude out of any disgust, and ditto for me if I was hungry, even if I had burgers or similar trash to eat (I'd rather fast). All I'm getting at is that good taste means nutritional value, and no food means a bad time real soon. Its easy to be fussy when I can have a pleasant barefoot walk to buy everything I need year round. What do I do if stuck in the woods? I'd try grubs way before I'd eat a bird or mammal.

I just finished my 7th month of 100% raw, and I'm quite cleaned out. I really notice what bad flseh-condtion most people have, and I feel truely grossed out seeing what most of them eat. Use of airlines and hotels means I must pack all my food with me. I'm glad my longest trips have only been three days. For a week I'd need a suitace with a built-in refrigerator. That's the price of real health. Eating raw this long has made food-provisioning a true management endeavor, and has shifted me away from a short-term 'grasshopper' attitude to a long-term 'ants' orientation to life in general. Guest guest
When the veit cong wanted to kill Veit Nam P.O.W.s, they would put them on a diet of only cooked meat, they were dead in a month. They would have lived longer by fasting. When I ate meat, it tasted great, so did icecream and candy bars. I can't believe that taste is an indicator of what is good for you, but as Jamie said " to each his own " . However, if you and I are ever stranded in the woods, you can have my share of the bugs.

Traveling has been one of the things I have wondered about. I'm planning a trip to Europe and don't have a clue, how to handle food, I couldn't carry any on the plane. I might go a long time without eating. From Hawaii to Europe is a long flight. I think its about a million hours.(I hope there are no bugs on the plane to tempt me.) I have traveled as a vegan and was able to advance order vegan meals on the plane, which they always screw up, but living foods??? I am going to try to find Living food restaurants on the internet at my destinations, and learn how to say " organic? " in other languages. Other than that, I havent got a clue.

Doug
