Guest guest
I have been vegan for 7 years, and vegitarian 10 years before that. It has been a long time since I have been even close to raw animal flesh. I have a dog, Pure bred Akita, who was a very sick puppy. He was alergic to everything he ate, alergic to fleas, and developed autoimmune disorder. The vet said we could give him steroids which would make him better, but would eventualy kill him. I found a site on the web, on raw food for dogs. Which he has been on for 5 months, ( 1 month longer than me ) and is almost completly healthy. The only problem he has, is a slight alergy to fleas which is also abating. The point of all this is, once a day I have to deal with raw animal flesh, and my instinct is to throw up.

Doug
Guest guest
What you feed your dog now? My dog is pretty healthy but if doesn't look like he's feeling well I feed him raw stuff. But he loves baby carrots as well as meat.

I enjoy the taste of raw flesh foods at times. I think it's okay to eat it when it tastes good.

I think the whole idea of eating raw foods is applicable to dogs as well as people and am glad you found something that has helped him.
