Guest guest
Thanks for the response. I also think that much of the current " scientific " community confuses cause and effect and association, and we've all seen tons of incorrect inferences drawn from studies of data. I really don't think we have many good scientists in the traditional sense anymore. We have tons of paid " researchers " sucking up grant money for any hypothesis that can be " cured " by commercial interests. Independent thinkers are usually ostracized and have their funding cut off.

Your comments on the flu stike a chord with me. I was recently on vacation in Cancun with my wife and 2 year old who had the flu (or something, he had a 105 temperature for several days). During that time we were sharing a hotel room, sleeping in the same bed and he sneezed a good wet one in my face and open eyes from a distance of about 6 - 12 inches on at least 2 occasions. However I did not " catch " anything (well, except maybe a buzz from the margaritas but thats a different story). In fact my wife, who was born in a different culture has never been cautious around me or the children when we're sick, yet there's no correlation between us getting sick and her catching it.

Moral: Work on your own immune system (actually looking inward and focusing on correcting yourself is always more productive than focusing on others), use common sense regarding the evil wind and elements, don't be paranoid about germs, don't be suckered in by misinformation propounded by the media, question all " information " you read or hear and see if it makes sense in your gut, the true source of wisdom.
