There may be freezing temperatures outside, and snow on the ground, but the fruit flies will survive the entire winter in YOUR home or apartment! Comments from other fruitarians? Guest guest Posted January 14, 2000 Report Share Posted January 14, 2000 Habib; I really had to laugh when I read you post, my girlfreind and I just went 100% raw Dec. 10th, and we eat a lot of fruit. We carry our peels around with us so we can bring them home and compost them. In Hawaii the weather does not even effect fruit flies, they are everywhere, in our house, all over our yard, swarming inside our car.
