Guest guest
n my new book purchase I picked out one on " Natural Hygiene " . I never heard of it before except in passing. There is a club for it though. The description for the book sounded interesting but I thought it was going to be too " new age " for me. Well it wasn't and I am so very glad I purchased it. The book is called " Awakening Our Self-Healing Body: A Solution to the Health Care Crisis " by Arthur M. Baker, M.A. I finished reading it and lent it out to my relative to read. When I get it back I'll tell you much more about it. Do a search in for " Natural Hygiene " when you can. It's a whole way of taking care of yourself, " self-care " , without medicine. To be HEALTHY you have to lead a HEALTHY LIFESTYLE. Of course a big part of it is food and Natural Hygiene promotes raw and living foods so you will fit right in. But it also covers all those other aspects of healthy living that I wrote about in an early post-the need for sleep, clean air, water, love, etc. I didn't know Natural Hygiene existed and it seems to be perfect for me! Now this book didn't cover all these areas in detail. It focuses on toxic waste in the body-what it is, what the body does to get rid of it, and what happens to us when the body can't get rid of it. It talks about all those disease symptoms of fever, colds, nausea, joint pain, headaches, etc. I had absolutely no problems accepting it's line of thought-I've believed much of it before without knowing what to call it. But this book did a great job of putting it all together in a very detailed manner. It didn't cover a lot of different topics but it really drove the point home.

My online friends, if you have some extra cash get these two books. The first is $14.95 and the second is $12.95. That's less than the cost of one visit to the doctor... and by following these two books I promise that you will save much more than this in your future health bills.

" Awakening… " mentioned another Natural Hygiene book called " Fit for Life II: Living Health " by Harvey and Marilyn Diamond. I went to the books store the other day and found it. The paperback is $7.50 and it is over 400 pages. How could I resist? Now I just started to read it but it looks like another winner. It DOES try to cover all the different Natural Hygiene issues! Am I the last person to get this book? It was published ten years ago! I wish I read it back then! I did read " Fit for Life, " many, many years ago and I thought it had merit especially with the " only fruit and fruit juices before 12 noon " statement. But the " Fit for Life " book was strictly a " diet " book. This follow-up book is the whole works… Natural Hygiene. I bet there is a " Fit for Life " club on or at least there should be. I like what I've read so far but I am really SHOCKED to see " cooked food " , meat and fish recipes in the last chapter. They have earlier chapters against cooked food and animal products but there are those recipes… I don't get it. But the rest of the book looks very worth while for those who only have $7.50 to spend.

So there are my 3 book recommendations for now. Read them and let's discuss them. I'm looking forward to a much healthier new year.

-OrionsDad
