Guest guest
ere's a list of raw foods that contain enzyme inhibitors. Because they contain enzyme inhibitors you don't want to eat them in their raw state. Sprout, marinate, cook or leave them alone.

grains (including raw wheat germ!)
seeds
nuts (especially peanuts!)
potatoes (sweet, white)
beans (especially soybeans!)
unripe mango, banana and papaya
egg white
algae

" Raw wheat germ " was a surprise for me. I believe most health minded people and doctors would think raw wheat germ is one of the very best foods you could have. But evidently it is not. Raw wheat germ will inhibit the enzyme " trypsin " which is secreted in the body by the pancreas. Trypsin breaks down protein into smaller components, such as amino acids. You can probably get away with small amounts but don't over do it.

Also, even sprouted soybeans should not be eaten raw! So either cook them or forget them.

-OrionsDad
