I knew there was something not right about raw nuts. Maybe I'll be

able to quit them someday, once I get more used to my raw vegetables

and fruit diet.

 

Plus the fact that " BTW, I think the problem with

Sounds as if I should soak my raw nuts before eating them. Maybe

they would digest better that way. Is it a good idea to soak nuts

the same as grains?

That's exactly what you are supposed to do. Soaking the nuts releases the

enzyme inhibitors and most raw food recipes call specifically for soaked nuts.

I soak them overnight and then sprout them for one day. They don't develop

tails in a day and still look and taste like nuts. If I'm not putting them in a

recipe then I dry them out in my dehydrator so they get crunchy again. I make

up a month supply at a time so doing all this isn't too much of a hassle. When

they are done store them in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer.
