Guest guest Posted November 28, 2005 Report Share Posted November 28, 2005 New Straits Times - 28th Nov.2005 Wild boar shot dead in estate SEREMBAN, NEGRI SEMBILAN -- A wild boar, which injured a four-year-old girl three days ago, was shot dead in a rubber estate today. The animal was killed at 11.30am in Kampung Bemban, located about 500 metres from where last Thursday's attack occurred, said State Wildlife Department director Jamalun Nasir Ibrahim. Forty personnel from the department, Rela and licensed hunters took part in the three-day operation to track down the animal . Last Thursday, the boar charged into a house and attacked a group of 15 children in Taman Angsa Mas in Kuala Sawah, Rantau. Tan Pei Fun received 10 stitches on her head, hand and legs after the animal charged into her, while her six-year-old friend received outpatient treatment at the Seremban Hospital. The children, aged between four and six years, attended tuition at the house and were having activities in the compound when the incident occurred at 4pm. The boar entered through an open front gate.
