Guest guest
Inspection of RajKamal Circus With information received by PAWS office of Camping of Raj Kamal Circus in Kalyan which is our area of working, PAWS team headed by Anuradha Ramaswamy along with volunteers Vishal, Sonali, ShivPrasad, Monali, Prathmesh & Rinki went to the Venue to check the Condition, Hygiene, Treatment & Maintenance of Animals used for performing in Circus. This Circus is originally registered in Kerala State. In past, in Bangalore this circus already surrendered the Wild Animals like Tigers & Lions. Currently this circus got 6 Elephants (2 Males & 4 Females), 1 Hippo of 22yrs., 5 Pomeranians Dogs, 5 Parrots (1 Macaw & 4 Cockatoo), 5 Horses only. PAWS team found in inspection that one horse’s leg was badly wounded & not able to perform. Immediately PAWS Trustee Anuradha called the Dr. Patil the Vet, who treated the Horse on the spot. He checked also all animals. The Hippo in circus is of 22yrs. old raised alone without any mate & was in transit tank. PAWS raised the objection on tank & demanded to make suitable pond for him. In transit tank the Hippo cannot turn around also. We will be visiting circus regularly & keep the check upon animals!
