Guest guest
100.000 chemical toxics will be tested on animals again This will be a panefull death for 12 miljon animals Price : 8 billion euro This is an appeal in order to write to the Europarliamentarians. Ask them kindly but also urgently to start by voting FOR all nonanimaltests amendements (explination can be read on www. reachnonanimaltests.org) because the European Parlement will make a final decision in november about the law proposal REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Athorization of Chemical Fabrics) that must restrict the damage of toxic fabrics (for instance for the public health and environment). Damaging consequences of chemical products on the organisme are double checked. So we are reassured. It is also an obligation and furthermore a guarantee for are well being. The case we don't approave of is the evaluation through testing animals who are posioned without limits. Not only is this unacceptable and immoral, it is aberrant dangereous en very expensive. The price of one pesticide can cost about 200 miljon euro's ! The European Commission is very concerned about the danger of posion coming from many products. For that reason they have started the REACH PROJECT (Registration, Evaluation, Au-torisation of Chemicals). This purpose of this initiative is to measure the degree of intoxication and the influence on the organisme from the numerous colouring pigment. Preservatives, additives or other frequently used chemical products used by the E.U. population can be sometimes clearly toxic. Wether these tests cause horrible pain to the animals and also cost 8 billion euro's, the parliamentarians could care less!! Please pass them the information that all the available alternatives for animaltests should be used. If it's not possible to have such alternatives than the budget for this investigation must me increased drasticly, instead of always taking tests on animals. These tests are not validated and because of that unsafe. Without these changes in the law proposal, if this proposal will be accepted, millions of animals will be the victim of these cruel toxictests. The project must determine the degree of posionous from about 100.000 chemicals fabrics who are used in the European member states. This will cause a suffering death for about 12 miljon animals. It is wrong en risky to think that the results of the examinations who are made on the testanimals are the same for human beings. The only thing we can be sure of is the results from these tests on animals. It is not possible to make a direct connection between chemical fabrics and the effect they have on humans. (Professor Howard, Toxicologist at the university from Liverpool, quoted by Martin Buxtan, " Dans Ie sang de la commissaire " newspaper " La Libre Belgique " from 6/1/2003). However the European Union wants about 100.000 chemical products to be tested on testanimals ! This business is very expensive but also a scandalous case because these tests give a great deal of suffering for these testanimals. Also it create's a large risk for human beings. Chemical products who don't have an effect on testanimals can be approaved for use and afterwards they can still be posionous for us humans ! I kindly ask you to approave this guideline only if you are certain that no animal will be sacrified and they will use only alternative methods. These methods (for example the DNA-chip) are a very small risk for the health of humans. Ik would be gratefull if you would approave each propostion that is willing to make changes en who considers my concerns.
